KIDS Graphics provides graphics systems for TVNZ Elections coverage.

Since 2008, KIDS Graphics has provided the core graphics, information management, analysis, and information presentation software for TVNZ Elections.

Elections are a challenging and difficult production due to the unpredictability, one-off nature of the production, mass of real time data, and production demands involved.

KIDS Graphics provide a multi-layered solution to this complex situation that manages these challenges and enables fluid and flexible operation on and around election day.

For TVNZ, KIDS Graphics provide:

Data collection from the Department of Justice servers
Centralised database for incoming data and locally generated analysis and operational information.
Generation of flexible broadcast graphics including election stats tickers, analysis full pages, name keys, etc.
Supply of an Election Browser web based tool for internal monitoring and analysis of the flow of the election.
Bigscreen Graphics package and systems for on-air use by analysts.
Integration of numerical election prediction model with live data flow.
Full redundancy including disaster recovery site.

These systems work together to provide a flexible and reliable system for us in this highly important production.
